GTA 6 Leonida Keys Map
The Leonida Keys are the island chain at the southern tip of GTA 6’s state, Rockstar’s take on the Florida Keys. It is where the story starts for Jason Duval: Rockstar’s character page says he ended up in the Keys working for local drug runners, and Brian Heder lets him live at his boat yard. On the community map, the mapped part of the Keys is Key Lento, modelled on Key Largo.
What Rockstar says about Leonida Keys
Rockstar’s Leonida Keys page sells the Keys as a laid-back island escape of bars and deck chairs beside water that is beautiful but dangerous, under the tagline “Gateway to Paradise”. The page shows the long road bridges between islands. Three characters are tied to the Keys on Rockstar’s site: Jason, Brian Heder and Brian’s third wife Lori, who run the boat yard together. Brian’s marina appears in the launch trailer, and Jason’s safehouse is in the official screenshots.

What to expect in the Keys at launch
Rockstar frames the Keys around boats, bars and smuggling rather than a city. Expect water to matter: Brian is a veteran smuggler who still moves product through his boat yard, and Cal Hampton, Jason’s friend, listens in on Coast Guard radio. Rockstar has not said how far the island chain stretches; the community map so far only covers the islands nearest the mainland. We will add missions, collectibles and activities in the Keys from launch day, November 19, 2026.

Where are the Leonida Keys in GTA 6?
At the southern tip of Leonida, south of Vice City and Grassrivers, linked to the mainland by road bridges. On the community map the mapped islands start at Key Lento.
Are the Leonida Keys based on the Florida Keys?
Yes, in all but name. Rockstar does not say “Florida”, but the island chain, the long bridges and places like Key Lento (Key Largo) line up with the real Keys.
Who lives in the Leonida Keys?
Jason Duval, one of the two main characters, plus Brian Heder and his wife Lori, who run a boat yard there. Rockstar’s character pages tie all three to the Keys.
Is Key West in GTA 6?
Rockstar has not shown a Key West stand-in. The community map has so far only placed the islands near the mainland, mainly Key Lento.
