Do I need an account to track my GTA 6 progress?
No. Everything works without an account. Your progress is stored in your browser on this device.
Is there a limit on categories, notes, pins or saves?
No. Track every category at once, write a note on any location, drop as many of your own pins as you like and keep as many saves as you need. A note can be up to 5,000 characters.
How do I keep my progress if I clear my browser or switch devices?
Use Export backup in the tracker panel. It downloads a small JSON file. On the other device or browser, use Import backup; imported saves are added next to your existing ones and never overwrite them.
Can I keep separate saves, for example a story run and a 100% run?
Yes. Use + New save. Each save has its own found locations, notes, pins and hidden categories. Switch between them from the save menu.
Does the tracker work on my phone?
Yes. The map uses two fingers to pan and zoom so a single finger can still scroll the page; tap the fullscreen button to use the map with one finger. Progress on your phone is separate from your computer unless you export and import a backup.
How do I share a location or my current map view?
Open a location and press Share this location, or press Share this view in the panel. The link opens the same place or view for anyone.
Where do the locations come from?
Only from Rockstar Games’ own material: rockstargames.com/VI, Rockstar Newswire, official trailers and official screenshots. Each location shows its source and a label: Official, Seen in trailer, Inferred or Unconfirmed. See About & sources.
Why are the pins on real Miami and Florida places?
Rockstar has not released a full in-game map yet. Until it does, each pin sits on the real-world place the location is modelled on, for example VC Port on PortMiami. After launch we move to verified in-game positions.
What happens to my progress when collectibles are added after launch?
Nothing is lost. New categories (collectibles, side activities and more, from November 19, 2026) simply appear in every save, and what you already ticked stays ticked.
